Verena Says

"Trying to fit in. Born to stand out."

Hi. My name is Verena. The rest of it is too long to type out.
This is my blog. And this is my Twitter.
The End.

PS. You can e-mail me at verenasays@gmail.com.
I'll definitely read it.
I'll probably answer.
I don't have that much else going on.

OK, so in randomly checking my facebook this morning, I saw that some people had joined a group about how starving a dog was not art. My first thought was: What The Fuck? I did some googling, and I’ve managed to successfully ruin my day. So, I think it’s only fair to spread the misery around. Mascarah, don’t read this. It’s your birthday. You should be happy.Anyway, basically some dude named Guillermo Vargas Habacuc calls himself an “Artist”. He gets himself a stray dog (either by paying some kids to catch one, or by finding one tied up on a street corner — this part is unclear) and then ties the dog up in a gallery, with a bowl of water and a bowl of food just out of reach. And this is made into an exhibition, and people come and watch this dog starve to death, all in the name of art. You can read more on it here and check out the online petition here. Here is a youtube video someone made of photos of the dog put to strangely upbeat sounding jazz music and here is another one thats all in spanish but may say something more enlightening. The above photo is of the dog, with all the oh-so-creative artsy people milling about in the backgroung. Fuck them.Oh and in case I wasn’t clear: This make me want to stab each and every person involved in this (from the “artist”, to the gallery, to the fucking background snobs sipping weak drinks) in the eyeballs. Multiple times. And then tie them up and watch them starve to death. Yeah.
