Verena Says

"Trying to fit in. Born to stand out."

Hi. My name is Verena. The rest of it is too long to type out.
This is my blog. And this is my Twitter.
The End.

PS. You can e-mail me at verenasays@gmail.com.
I'll definitely read it.
I'll probably answer.
I don't have that much else going on.

BIG FAT SMILEY FACE

I haven’t uploaded my photos from last night and, in any case, there is only one good one, but I want to say that I had the most fun I’ve had in a long time. (I hope that doesn’t make me sound like a loser.)

It’s not easy to make plans for the evening with a group of people you’ve never met, and I’d have to say it’s a smashing success. Everyone I met was just as fabulous as I thought they were, and some were even more so. To those of you who were there that I didn’t meet — there’s always next time!

And to give the requisite shout-outs (girls only, otherwise the list would be too long. Also, no linking, because I’m lazy.): Sarah, you’re a rockstar and the life of the party. I’m pretty sure it’s impossible NOT to have fun around you. Keep on, keepin’ on, sista!

Jess, you were dressed as fantastically as I thought you’d be, and sweeter than I could have expected.

Erin, the (north)west coast is the best coast, and I’m absolutely ecstatic to have found my puget sound soulmate.

Lindsey, welcome to the city! You’re already cooler than me because you live in Brooklyn. I’m looking forward to some thrifting! And remember, from one tall girl to another, heels are ENTIRELY unnecessary.

Caroline, as much as I rubbed my “oh-so-short” subway ride home in your face, trust me, I guarantee it was longer than yours. There was a “police investigation” at 42nd street, so after a 20 minute wait, I walked home. You rock.

Lauren, you don’t have an australian accent, but you do love snowboarding, so I say ski trip next season!!! We didn’t get to chat as much, so keep that in mind for next time.

Sara, you might be the cutest person I’ve ever met, if only for the fact that everytime I saw you, your face lit up and you yelled “VERENA!!!” like it was Christmas morning (or Hannukah??) Thank you for making me feel special, and for having the best haircut I’ve seen in a long time.

Anyway, if I missed anybody (and I’m sure I did) be certain that it has nothing to do with you and everything to do with how many “Friend of a Friend’s” I had.

Happy tumbling, everyone - and I mean it when I say I think I came out of last night with a whole new group of friends. Real ones. Like, in real life. Also, I was ridiculously PROUD to tell everyone how cool, beautiful, intelligent, and fabulous my “internet” friends were.  No shame there.
