GMAIL COMPLAINT #1
caro: verenasays: (Seriously, my first one ever. That I thought to write down, at least.) Why can’t I sort by read vs. unread? I have 76 unread messages spread over 10 days of emails. Don’t make me search page by page for every one. Here’s what you do: Go to “Search Options,” and in the drop-down menu select “Unread Mail.”  Do not fill in any of the other forms.  Click “Search Mail.” ...

Lindsay over at VideoGum introduced me today to what may in fact be the most hilariously-bad-but-awesome movie I’ve never seen. It’s called The Room. Spurred on by a four-page Entertainment Weekly article covering the cult phenomenon, Lindsay reeled me in and left me flabbergasted. How is it that I’ve never seen this movie? Who is this multi-tasking director and lead actor with...

moetkacik: Someone defended me a lot more articulately than I did myself over that thing about “empowered” binge drinking that New York published today so I’m just linking that here. But in case you were wondering, I still, sometimes, feel pain. I highly recommend reading the defense over on DoubleThink. Because it’s really well-written. And it explains a lot of things that I thought but...

Due to some strange confluence of events, I am currently in a towncar headed to CNN for a live segment on Headline News. What weighty topic will I be discussing, you ask? Why, the Victoria’s Secret fashion show, of course! And whether or not it objectifies women. Or something. Trying not to barf (public speaking gives me the willies) and reviewing my notes. (I say no to the objecification,...

It’s 9:27AM and I am already crying. This is a video of a dog getting hit by a car (wait, it gets better…kinda) and another superhero of a dog running out into the busy highway, and dragging the other severely injured dog to safety. Besides setting off my tear reflex, it’s also caused my Petfinder.com reflex to kick in. Gonna go peruse for potential adoptees now.
